Explanation

This app is a prototype for exploring how classic survey result tables can be defined interactively through prompts and LLM-supported workflows.

The underlying demo data was created from a dummy questionnaire. Based on that questionnaire, a random sample of 1,000 cases was generated and exported as a cleanly labelled SPSS dataset. The app imports this dataset, displays the available questions, lets users define result tables and filters, previews the resulting table output, and exports it to Excel.

The purpose is not to provide a full analysis suite yet. The focus of this proof of concept is narrower: testing how well prompts can be used to define which survey questions should be tabulated and which filters or split groups should be applied.

Use the app as follows:

  • Available Questions: View the questions and response codes available in the imported SPSS dataset.
  • Defined Tables: See and reorder the questions selected for tabulation.
  • Defined Filters: See, rename, delete, and reorder the filter groups used as table columns.
  • Output Preview: Review the result tables before exporting.
  • Excel Export: Export the current output preview as a formatted Excel workbook.
  • Prompt: Describe which tables and filters should be created or adjusted.
  • Send Input: Process the prompt and update the current setup.
  • Reset App: Return the app to its initial state.
